The difference between success and failure when treating a TMD issue rests on more than the joints and the tops of the teeth. Understanding the level of risk presented by each individual's presenting condition is a vital beginning. Diagnosis is the key.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Conduct an examination and evaluation of the TMD patient
2. Understand differential diagnosis of temporo-mandibular disorders
3. Perform medical and dental treatment planning for the TMD patient
