Dr. Haywood is a professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the Georgia Health Sciences University School of Dentistry. He co-authored the first publication on nightguard vital bleaching (tray bleaching), and has published 135 articles and a book on bleaching.

Tooth bleaching has swept the country and includes older adults age 80 down to young children age 10. Indication and contraindications for each age group and tooth discoloration will be presented, plus information on safety, sensitivity, tray options and caries.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Understand age-specific recommendations for bleaching and peroxide safety issues
2. Design tray treatments for brown, white, single dark and tetracycline teeth
3. Assess components of the bleaching examination and tray fabrication options
