Dr. Gremillion is dean of the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and a professor in the Orthodontics Department. He formerly served as director of the University of Florida College of Dentistry Parker E. Mahan Facial Pain Center and has lectured worldwide in the field of orofacial pain.

If occlusion is involved in the TMD issue, the general practitioner must decide to treat or refer. Bite-splints can identify those patients who respond to occlusal therapy. Once identified, appropriate occlusal treatment must be applied.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Make the most of bite-splint design
2. Manage goals and expectations of bite-splint therapy
3. Understand the financial considerations of bite-splint therapy in general practice
