Infectious diseases can present systemic and maxillofacial challenges to both the general population and occupational risks for health professionals. This course discusses representative bloodborne, airborne and direct contact infections.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Understand transmission and impact of emerging and re-emerging infections
2. Discuss maxillofacial and systemic relationships presented by the diseases
3. Comprehend occupational risks and appropriate infection control precautions
