Dr. Malamed and Dr. Hawkins, together for the first time, will present an interactive discussion of the current status of pain control in dentistry. This program will look at drugs, technique and pharmacology of local anesthesia: what's "hot" and what's "not."

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Examine the problems associated with local anesthesia delivery
2. Explore the current drugs, equipment and technique of local anesthesia
3. Understand the specific challenges of the medically compromised patient
