Restoring the patient with rampant caries is a challenge for the dental team. Failure of recently placed restorations due to root caries is becoming an increasingly common problem. Incorporate new insights about caries into techniques that increase your restorative success.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Select and correctly use various restorative materials in high-risk caries patients
2. Evaluate the controversial step-wise and "incomplete" caries removal protocols
3. Conservatively remove caries-infected dentin using indicator dyes and ceramic burs

Underwritten by a grant from 3M ESPE Preventive Care.

Dr. Huffines's morning course 5103, Prevention for the High-Risk Caries Patient, is suggested as a prerequisite.
