Today, caries management has shifted from reparative to preventive. This course will enable hygienists and chairside assistants to educate patients on preventing or even reversing early caries lesions, using evidence-based facts. Numerous strategies will be presented.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Understand the medical model of caries and caries prevention
2. Implement protocols for assessing caries risk
3. Explain evidence-based protocols for preventing or managing early caries lesions
