Dr. Ramos-Gomez is a professor in pediatric dentistry at UCLA School of Dentistry and graduate program director for UCLA's Community Health and Advocacy Training (CHAT) program. He is a team member and researcher for the NIDCR/UCSF CAN DO Center to Address Disparities in Children’s Oral Health.

Caries is the most prevalent chronic disease of early childhood. The ADA, AAPD and AAP concur that the first dental visit should occur no later than 12 months of age. This program will offer the latest information and techniques for providing care to infants and young children.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Perform a caries risk assessment for infants and young children
2. Provide appropriate anticipatory guidance to family and caregivers
3. Describe appropriate behavior management techniques
