This course provides an overview of the patient with Autism Spectrum Disorder. A review of how to properly assess the patient's abilities will be conducted. Ms. Raposa will explore techniques for treatment and provide guidelines for incorporating these patients into the practice.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Provide a basic definition for Autism Spectrum Disorders
2. Properly assess the abilities of a patient with Autism Spectrum Disorder
3. Understand and treat the patient with autism in a typical practice setting
