This course provides an update on common pathways between oral health and overall health, the latest scientific evidence relating oral health and potential to prevent systemic events such as bacteremia, and health promotion strategies vital to consider in counseling patients.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the connection between oral and overall health
2. Recognize latest evidence on bacteremia, a subclinical sign with complicated outcomes
3. Counsel patients in achieving better health
