Dr. Crossley received a BS in pharmacy, MS and PhD degrees in pharmacology in 1972 and a DDS degree in 1980. He retired from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2004 as professor emeritus. He was the recipient of the 2008 Gordon Christensen Lecturer Recognition Award.

Many common prescription and over-the-counter medications may have dental implications. A thorough knowledge of the most common prescription and OTC medications that your patients take on a daily basis will better prepare you to provide treatment.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Identify medications that interact with medications used or prescribed by dentists
2. Identify medications that may cause excessive bleeding during dental procedures
3. Better understand the health profile and associated risks of their patients
