This course covers the role of research evidence in contemporary dental care, using examples from general practice. Topics include reliable sources of evidence, tools to identify quality summaries, cognitive dissonance and other challenges to implementation.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Define the role of research evidence in 21st century dental clinical practice
2. Identify reliable sources of evidence
3. Identify potential barriers and facilitators to implementing evidence in practice
