International volunteerism supports sustainable improvements to the oral health of communities in need. Learn from personal perspectives in disaster response settings such as Haiti, strategies to improve oral public health in developing nations, descriptions of international volunteer opportunities and how to get started.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Create long-term solutions to global oral health problems in appropriate phases of disaster response
2. Recognize how sustainable improvements can be made to global oral health at the community level
3. Identify and implement strategies that produce the best results for the provider and the recipients
