Fast, reliable documentation is needed for use by private practitioners while making caries disease assessments in their patients, both for the total dentition and for individual sites. The International Caries Detection and Assessment System is designed to lead to better quality information to inform decisions.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Recognize stages of caries disease for various parts of the dentition
2. Identify, based on the stages, the level of disease burden in the mouth
3. Use multiple caries factors in an efficient way to make diagnoses
