Implant prostheses have key implant locations to reduce biomechanical stress. There are over 100,000 combinations of missing teeth, available bone in edentulous sites and quality of health of natural teeth abutments. As a consequence, treatment planning has often been an art form.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the most important implant positions in a prosthesis
2. Understand the relationship between number of implants and biomechanical stress
3. Develop a method to determine the ideal implant size for a prosthesis
