Immune mechanisms, including the host response to infections, play an increasingly important role in medicine and dentistry. This course will provide a basic understanding of immune response as well as information on the swine flu and cancer therapies as it affects dental patients.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Understand the difference between innate and acquired immune response
2. Understand immune deficiency diseases
3. Describe the impact of selected medication on the patient
