This symposium provides dental teams with findings on oral health and overall health as well as information on how healthcare providers can incorporate oral-systemic findings into their practice. Research will be presented on oral hygiene strategies to advance patients' success in improving and maintaining oral health.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Understand contemporary methods to modify patient behavior towards health
2. Implement motivational interviewing, a counseling style for facilitating behavioral change
3. Understand the latest science to help improve patients' success
