Dr. Crossley received a BS in pharmacy, MS and PhD degrees in pharmacology in 1972 and a DDS degree in 1980. He retired from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2004 as professor emeritus. He was the recipient of the 2008 Gordon Christensen Lecturer Recognition Award.

This program will present a brief discussion of addiction and how it relates to the functioning of your dental office. Teenage substance abuse, new and more potent drugs on the street, medical marijuana and other topical issues will be discussed.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Identify some factors that contribute to substance abuse and addiction
2. Recognize some signs or symptoms of adolescent substance abuse and addiction
3. Discuss issues involving medical marijuana and its impact on the dental practice
