This course will review the basic constructs of cariology and periodontal disease progression. Learn ways to couple the basic concepts with scientific research and emerging facts regarding diet, nutrition and oral health and practically apply them during patient care to promote a healthier practice.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Identify patients who would benefit from dental nutrition counseling
2. Relate the importance of diet and oral health to dental patients
3. Provide dental nutrition counseling as a part of routine preventive care
