Dr. Haywood is a professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the Georgia Health Sciences University School of Dentistry. He co-authored the first publication on nightguard vital bleaching (tray bleaching), and has published 135 articles and a book on bleaching.

Tooth bleaching indications include older adults and children down to age 10 years. Information for each age group, unusual tooth discolorations and tray options, along with answers to patient questions about tray bleaching, in-office bleaching with and without lights, and OTC products will be presented.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Perform a bleaching examination, and compare hydrogen and carbamide peroxide
2. Understand indications, limitations and age-specific concerns for bleaching
3. Answer patient questions comparing tray bleaching to in-office and OTC products
