This course will illustrate a diverse group of common oral lesions in children with a focus on symptomatic conditions. The discussion will highlight the causes, clinical features and age-appropriate management options. Newly described entities and important connections to systemic and genetic diseases will be identified.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:1. Diagnose symptomatic soft tissue and bony lesions that are pertinent to the pediatric age group
2. Recognize key historical clues and systemic findings that require medical consultation and referral
3. Select appropriate therapeutic and palliative agents for the management of pediatric oral lesions
