Information gathered here in the Live Learning center through our arrangement with Content Management is used only for e-commerce and log-in purposes. The information provided during registration, such as e-mail address, institution affiliation, and zip code, may be used to create personalized content. Financial information that is collected is only used to bill the user for products and services. Demographic information about our users allows AHIMA to provide products that meet our constituents needs. This site gathers personal information primarily through registration screens on the Live Learning Center web site. We use cookie technology. The AHIMA Live Learning Center site, www.softconference.com/ahima, has security measures in place that endeavor to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control. This site is part of private network, which does not provide direct access by outside parties to the servers. Tools employed to minimize hacking attempts include firewall systems, continuous review and implementation of third-party security updates, virtual private network solutions, point-to-point tunneling protocols, and log file analyses. Firewalls are in place to prevent unauthorized access to equipment and servers. All systems are monitored for suspicious activity to prevent any breaches in security. Student information is stored in a secured database accessible only by the Content Management Corporation administrator.
