Description
Specific applications of BIM models will be showcased as case studies. Cases will be either design or construction solution. For example one study will highlight the use for documenting zoning information and anther will show underground utilities were mapped for a utility tunnel to be bored under public ROW. This session will enable atendees to:

Describe BIM beyond its use as a drafting tool.
Recognize specific uses that are dependent on the database capabilities of BIM.
Assess the use of 3-D technology to enhance user or AHJ understanding of the design.
Identify the ability for real time interaction with design participants.
