LEARNER OUTCOMES: This presentation will cover the planning and implementation process used in creating a second carrier demarc at the University of Kansas Lawrence campus.  Business continuity was the driving force behind this initiative which also provided an opportunity to upgrade facilities and add an alternate carrier fiber route to the campus.  In addition to deploying our carrier circuits between two demarcs, this project also included installation of an ESS for voice service survivability in the event of an outage affecting our primary demarc and pair of S87xx servers.
