Description
Jeff Lusby (Grant Thornton) will introduce MST (Message Sequence Trace), a valuable tool built in to the Definity platform for many years along with the Trace Analyzer which was introduced on the Linux-based servers. The Trace Analyzer allows the hexadecimal information logged during a MST trace to be decoded and viewed on the Maintenance web interface of the S8xxx servers. Jeff will show how to configure, enable, disable and view a MST trace, including an analysis of an actual trace of the D-channel messages on an ISDN PRI. Jeff has 22 years of Avaya background (including Tier 3 Engineer), a year of Professional Services experience, many certifications (including ACE IP-Telephony and ACE Messaging), and is currently a System Management Tools Committee member.
