Sean Moore, Chief Architect, Developer Platforms, Avaya
Sean Moore joined Avaya in 2004 and currently serves as chief architect for developer platforms. His Avaya teams have produced software development kits that enable Avaya customers and partners to create web applications, phone applications, and SIP/IMS applications which leverage Avaya platforms. He serves as Avaya's representative to the ECMA International standards organization, and also serves on the IEEE Communication Society Standards Activities Board. Previous to Avaya, Dr. Moore worked in communications technology startups and Department of Defense R&D contractors, and was the Principal Investigator for several DARPA contracts. He is the Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Communications Magazine and is the Magazine's Design & Implementation Series editor. He is the author of numerous patents and has an extensive publications list. Dr. Moore holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tulane University, a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of New Orleans, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
