LEARNER OUTCOMES:
SIP Essentials’ offers an overview of SIP elements including proxy, registrar, and redirect servers. SIP call flows including successful call establishment, SIP requests and responses to busy or no answer are covered. A description of SIP addressing and protocols will include how calls and payloads are signaled and carried. SIP interoperates with the PSTN and is subject all the vulnerabilities of the IP suite. Thus, the presentation will include SIP interoperability, security, and issues unique to SIP.
