Jim Childress, Vice President Marketing and Public Relations,
Metro Health, Wyoming, MI
Jim Childress is a health care marketing pioneer, serving as vice president of marketing and public relations at Metro Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan since 1984. Metro Health consists of a 208-bed general acute care osteopathic teaching hospital and 12 neighborhood outpatient centers. The hospital has been rated a Thompson Top 100 Hospital for two consecutive years. A former broadcast journalist, Jim’s work in health care has been recognized with numerous national and state awards. He has served on numerous boards, including 17 years with the regions leading managed care organization. This year he was appointed by Michigan’s governor to the state’s Board of Nursing. He holds a masters degree in communications from Western Michigan University.

Karen Corrigan, CEO and founding partner of The Strategy Group, is an experienced strategist specializing in competitive strategy in the health industry. She provides counsel on competitive market dynamics, strategic planning, value innovation, brand positioning and strategic marketing to health systems, hospitals, and other businesses serving the health industry. Corrigan is a graduate of the Virginia Wesleyan School of business and economics. She writes and speaks frequently on strategy topics in healthcare.

Danny Fell, Executive Vice President,

An innovative marketing planner and strategic thinker with over 20 years of healthcare marketing experience, Danny Fell oversees the Chattanooga, TN office of Neathawk Dubuque & Packett. Danny has developed marketing strategies for a wide variety of healthcare clients, including Health Management Associates, WebMD Envoy, HP Medical Supplies, J.D. Power and Associates, Geisinger Health System, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Hamilton Health Care System, Advanced Cancer Technologies, and the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Prior to joining ND&P, Danny co-founded Daniel+Douglas+Norcross (ddN), a marketing and communications company, served as a partner and senior vice president of Notch/Bradley, a national healthcare marketing firm, and as a marketing director of Parkview Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.

Pamela Henderson is Chief Marketing Officer, St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital, a Member of Trinity Health. With more than 25 years experience in key sales and marketing roles, including research, strategic planning, product and channel development, Ms. Henderson has been instrumental in helping organizations discover market opportunities from customer and market data to develop innovative growth strategies. Her involvement in both the corporate and health care industries for organizations including Westinghouse, Ford Motor Company and the University of Michigan Health System give her a unique perspective on the challenges facing today’s health care marketer. As CMO, Ms. Henderson is responsible for developing the sales and marketing strategies for St. Joseph Mercy Oakland hospital, a 428-bed comprehensive community hospital; a long-time health care leader in Oakland County and a member of Trinity Health, the fourth largest Catholic health care system in the United States.
