Jeff’s work focuses on aligning both hospital and model physician financial incentives, governance, and operational systems to help healthcare providers meet their strategy objectives. As a consultant, he has worked with executives in hundreds of health care organizations to improve financial and operational performance and enhance strategic positioning.
Jeff speaks and writes frequently on the challenges facing health care leaders. An engaging presenter, he has delivered well-received talks at dozens of industry events, including the SHSMD Annual Educational Conference, the Forum for Healthcare Strategists, the VHA Leadership Conference, the MGMA MSO Executive Assembly and the OR Business Management Conference. Jeff’s articles have appeared in The Physician Executive, MGMA Connexion, Modern Physician, Healthcare Strategy Alert, The Journal of the Healthcare Financial Management, H&HN OnLine and other journals and newsletters. He has also been quoted in several industry publications, including Modern Healthcare, Medical Economics and HealthLeaders.
Jeff is president of Health Directions, LLC, a health care consulting firm based in Chicago. He is also president of Surgical Directions, LLC, which focuses on helping surgical services organizations improve operational and financial performance. Jeff received his MBA from Northwestern University.
