Nancy Paton is the Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications, University Hospitals, Cleveland, Ohio. She leads the marketing and communications strategy for the entire health system. University Hospitals serves patients through an integrated network of hospitals, outpatient centers, and primary care physicians at more than 150 locations throughout northern Ohio. With nearly 25,000 physicians and employees comprising UH and its partner hospitals, UH is northern Ohio’s second-largest employer. She is a past president of SHSMD and a past chair of the Society’s Leadership Development and Membership Committees. She currently serves on the SHSMD Senior Leadership Task Force.

An innovative marketing planner and strategic thinker with over 20 years of healthcare marketing experience, Daniel Fell oversees the Chattanooga, TN office of Neathawk Dubuque & Packett, a Richmond, VA-based advertising agency. Mr. Fell has developed marketing strategies for a wide variety of healthcare clients including Health Management Associates, WebMD Envoy, HP Medical Supplies, J.D. Power and Associates, Geisinger Health System, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Hamilton Health Care System, Advanced Cancer Technologies and the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Prior to joining ND&.P, he co-founded Daniel+Douglas+Norcross (ddN), served as a partner and senior vice president of Notch/Bradley, a national healthcare marketing firm, and was the marketing director of Parkview Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.

Ross Goldberg has more than 30 years’ experience in healthcare public relations and marketing communications, the last ten of which as founder and president of Kevin/Ross Public Relations. Mr. Goldberg has represented a broad cross-section of healthcare clients, working with hospitals, health plans, medical groups, and trade associations. His work has included image management, media relations, corporate communications, employee communications, crisis communications, and the writing of award-winning annual reports, op-ed pieces, and direct-response marketing materials. He also has extensive experience in media training, merger communications, and corporate identity/branding. Before founding Kevin/Ross, he was vice president of corporate communications for the $3.5 billion UniHealth America.
