Description
Training and support does not end in the classroom. The University of Chicago User Relations staff has taken support of our users to the next level. Offering a wide range of training and support materials is nothing new to any institution. These materials take on many forms including online help articles, written materials, video demonstrations, online training, and email support. Getting users to know where they can and should go for support can be a challenge in itself, but setting expectations for personalized support can be even more problematic. To manage the first problem, we have consolidated access to our support information into a single location. To manage the personalized support, we have processes in place for various types of issues and support. This allows us to provide a one-hour response time to new support requests. Most importantly, collaboration amongst User Relations staff is instrumental in supporting our users.
