Description
A presentation on how to make sure you get the data you need out of PowerCAMPUS. Microsoft SQL Reporting Services is a powerful tool that can help you get data to faculty/staff that do or do not have access to PowerCAMPUS. By using SQL Reporting Services a Super-user, or an IT employee can reduce the amount of time used on running routine reports. Also by using the security features you can make sure that your "customers" are seeing the correct data. This class is focused on technical programming and attendees should have a basic understanding of Transact-SQL. The University of Mount Union has a centralized IT department with 3 people who create reports for faculty and staff. Mount Union has been able to leverage Microsoft SQL Reporting Service to help reduce reporting requests.
