In the fall of 2010, Carleton University successfully launched MyCarletonOne; a full-featured account provisioning and management system. The project integrated the Sun Identity Management technology with Banner via Banner Enterprise Identity Services (BEIS). In this technical session, the presenters will address the technical architecture, interfaces, data models, and infrastructure design that facilitated the project. The presenters will describe how BEIS was used to output data from Banner to the IdM, and compare it to the methods used to update Banner data based on identity transactions external to Banner.
