Description
Western University of Health Sciences and SunGard Higher Education partnered together for a Business Process Modeling (BPM) engagement in early 2011. This session is a story of success from the client's and consultant's perspective. As a mature Banner client with changing strategic priorities and a growing need to "do more with less," WesternU was tasked with addressing several challenges such as constrained resources, undocumented and inefficient business processes, competing technology initiatives, and ungoverned 3rd party systems. The institution approached SunGard Higher Education for assistance with reviewing their core processes and creating a foundation for the successful realization of their critical goals and objectives.
This story provides the audience with a candid and balanced vantage point on how to approach seemingly daunting initiatives as a team while overcoming challenges that most institution's face today such as the need to:
Maximize technology investments;
Streamline business processes;
Practice technology and project governance;
Maintain current and meaningful documentation;
Achieve process transparency across stakeholders;
Ensure compliance through accurate reporting and timely information access for executives.
