Track: Student Financial Services

Educatsional Expertise   Focus: Banner Accounts Receivable

LEAD PRESENTER / PANEL ORGANIZER / BOF LEADER :
Jatan Vyas, EIS Functional Analyst, Texas A&M University
Description
Any area that depends on application of payments (TGRAPPL) wants it to run as efficiently as possible. Beginning with AR 8.1.1 there are significant application of payments enhancements, defect corrections and new functionality. Texas A&M University had a history of excessively long TGRAPPLs until these enhancements were employed. We explain how Texas A&M uses the baseline changes (TGRAPPL parallel processing and the new TGRAPPH archiving process) to achieve much shorter TGRAPPL run times. We also discuss the changes to TSIAPPL and the optimal order for running TGRAPPL, TGRUNAP and TGRAPPH. For Banner Accounts Receivable and Finance users.
