Track: Community Engagement

Educatsional Expertise   Focus: Community Source
Program Code: 1992
LEAD PRESENTER / PANEL ORGANIZER / BOF LEADER :
Kathryn Matuch, Director of Software Services, Drexel University
Description
Panelists will share their experiences working with baseline standards, developing new features or refactoring existing local modifications so that they can be incorporated into the SunGard product baseline. The session will include examples of simple and moderately complex modifications in order to illustrate changes throughout the development process. This presentation include some or all of the following: coding and structural design standards and best practices, unit testing standards and the considerations that should be given to changes required in configuration management. If you develop modifications, extensions or bolt-ons to SunGard products, this session can point you to resources and help you understand how to develop in ways that make your changes to baseline or new extensions easy to share with the community or submit through the Community Source process for baseline release.
