Description
Improving student success is a top priority for many schools that have specific goals to improve student persistence, retention and graduation rates. Using the new Early Alerts feature in Banner Relationship Management, institutions can proactively identify both at-risk and excelling students, which will help staff provide timely interventions and services to improve student success and retention. In this session you will learn about the new faculty feedback feature in Banner Student 8.5.1 that collects information on how students are performing in class as a source that can be used to raise student alerts. You’ll also learn how any other data available in Banner can also be used to create institution-specific rules that automate the process of raising alerts that need to be brought to the attention of appropriate staff for further action to successfully address personal, financial, academic, social and any other issues that may impact a student’s ability to succeed. You’ll also see how manual alerts can be added for a student, and how advisors can proactively monitor student alerts, and record comments that can be kept private or shared with other staff who are stakeholders in student success in retention.
