Having worked for Kraft Foods and American Airlines, O’Gorman brings a tremendous background of marketing and channel development experience to Silverpop. Of her 11 years with Fortune 100 companies, O’Gorman managed Web site content and email marketing for American Airlines’ multi-billion dollar Web site, building one of the world’s largest email marketing programs.
Named among BtoB Magazine’s “Who’s Who,” O’Gorman is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in marketing services. She has appeared in publications as diverse as Internet Retailer, Direct Magazine, ClickZ, Chief Marketer, Target Marketing and Email Insider, and is a frequent speaker at such venues as the Direct Marketing Association’s annual conference, ad:tech and the eMarketing Association.
O'Gorman was a 2007 finalist for the Technology Association of Georgia’s “Woman of The Year in Technology” and is a past board member of the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association. She is a Certified Managerial Accountant and a Certified Project Manager (PMP). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from the Wharton School and an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
John McCardell is the Chief Operating Officer at Marketing1by1 which provides automated marketing technology to the multi-channel retail industry.
He is a pioneer in creating relevant and customized communications through email and web sites while holding senior positions at Exmplar, Inc., finally as SVP Client Services.
An original employee of Shop2u.com/Exmplar, he helped build production processes to support clients including Omaha Steaks, 1800Flowers.com, Staples, HSN Improvements, Kraft Food’s Gevalia Kaffe and CompUSA, many with complex email programs. He was instrumental in building Exmplar’s campaign production and deliverability program. He oversaw the delivery of over 1 billion emails per year and was key in the year-over-year financial growth of the company.
John has also worked as an independent consultant with a focus on email strategy and deliverability as well as with direct marketing leader Merkle Direct Marketing. Previously he spent several years as a non-profit fundraiser where he raised tens of millions of dollars running direct mail programs and building a planned giving and high-dollar programs.
