FLUORIDE THERAPY AND ORAL DISEASE MANAGEMENT

Synopsis:
Contrary to popular belief, the incidence and prevalence of dental decay is not on the decline. This program will provide an overview of caries development, the incidence and prevalence of dental decay, and the role of fluoride therapy in the management of patients who are at risk for caries development.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand the caries development process and appropriate interventions strategies
2. Understand and implement an effective in-office fluoride treatment protocol
3. Understand and implement an effective at-home fluoride treatment protocol

This course is presented in cooperation with the American Dental Assistants Association.
