Synopsis:
Join three of the top educators from the Pankey Institute for this day-and-a-half new dentist course. A comprehensive approach to practice is the key to restorative success and professional fulfillment. Bringing together comprehensive clinical and practice components make treating any case possible and predictable. As a result of participating in this course participants will understand a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment in their practices including: muscle, joint and occlusal diagnosis; function; and therapy.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify the component parts of the comprehensive examination
2. Improve patient relationships by utilizing active listening skills
3. Identify line and plane of occlusion, axial inclination, signs of occlusal disease and influence of the condyle disk assembly on occlusion
4. Define the concept of centric relation
5. Identify the role of occlusion as it applies to restorative dentistry
6. Identify appropriate uses of bite splint therapy
7. Define the components of anterior guidance
8. Identify the anatomic components of the Temporomandibular joint and stomatognathic musculature
