MANAGING THE "DIFFICULT" PERIODONTAL PATIENT

Synopsis:
A major challenge for dentists is the patient who continues to go "down hill" after periodontal therapy, thus creating an unstable environment for restorative care. This course determines the difference between refractory and recurrent periodontal patients creating an effective "risk assessment" with computer technology.

1. Implement "host" modulating strategies
2. Develop evidence-based treatment protocols
3. Develop non-traditional modalities
