Every time you touch the tops of teeth, you are altering the occlusion and the effects of that change can ripple through the stomatognathic system. Sometimes the ripples are small and stay locally and you see the evidence as we try and seat the final restoration and wonder where the clearance went. Other times the ripples travel farther and you are challenged to understand as the patient develops symptoms.
