Description
Of all the research activities in which school psychologists engage in K-12 schools, consuming and synthesizing research could be the most important. However, the persistent gap between research and practice is often at least partially attributed to practitioners' unfamiliarity with research articles. This interactive workshop will provide information on how to best interpret and synthesize research for K-12 schools. Upon completion of the workshop participants will be able to identify practitioner-friendly sources of research, discuss indicators of quality research, and interpret research in a manner that is meaningful to teachers, administrators, and parents. Sponsored by the Convention Committee and the Society for the Study of School Psychology.
